The Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap) is a public institution that works to energize the French art scene in the visual arts. In 2018, we had the honor to be asked by its Graphic Design department to produce its activity report.

Elementary forms and double reading

The aim of this report was to highlight Cnap's initiatives, highlight the work of artists and make datas accessible. To achieve this, we designed a document structured in two distinct sections, characterized by the placement of infographics in the document's preamble and conclusion. Printed on colored paper, the data is represented by simple geometric shapes, combined with the use of dot rasters and solid color to highlight key information. Framed by these infographics, the pages dedicated to editorial and iconographic content alternate between white and black backgrounds, giving rhythm and clarity to the consultation of the document. In this way, the report offers a double reading of its content, providing an in-depth understanding of Cnap's actions.
